Radio Clock

NeoClock is a radio controlled clock which synchronizes the date and time of your PC or server with the european reference atomic clock located in Germany. The drift of this clock is less than 1 second every 30 million years.

NeoClock is a high secure and economic solution. Contrary to GPS receivers, it does not need a clear view of the sky or an external antenna and so is very easy to install. Simply connect it on any the serial port of a PC which become the time server of all client PCs of the network.

NeoClock offers a high precision and economic solution to get exact time and its installation is very easy.

Atomic Clock

The transmitter of the atomic clock is located in Mainflingen near Frankfurt in Germany and broadcast time data  from the atomic clock of the Physics and Metrology Institute of Brunswick.

This atomic clock contributes to the establishment of the International Atomic Time (IAT).

The geographical position of the transmitter and its broadcast power of 50 kW enables to pick up the signal within about 1.500 km around Frankfurt.

High precision time synchronization

The source of the time data broadcast by the German DCF77 radio transmitter is an atomic clock with a drift inferior to 1 second every 30 million years.

Dual antenna system

The NeoClock receiver is equipped with 2 antenna systems. Independent and very sensitive, they guarantee the best reception of the signal whatever the geographical situation of the NeoClock with regard to the transmitter.

Autonomous quartz clock

If the radio signal is disturbed, NeoClock automatically switches to the data from its own quartz clock with battery. This quartz clock is synchronized at each good reception of the time data from the atomic clock.

Reliability of the time data

The time data received by radio waves are entirely controlled before validation : numerous consistency tests, 6 parity bits checked, comparison of two successive data sequences and precise timing control of all the received signals.

Automatic daylight saving time adjustment

Operating in numerous European countries

Two patented, extremely sensitive and efficient antenna systems are used to pick up the DCF77 signal within more than 1000 km around Frankfurt in Germany.

Easy to install

NeoClock is connected to the serial port of any PC compatible and needs no external antenna. Two LEDs indicate the reception level as well as the status of the NeoClock receiver.

No external power supply

The NeoClock is powered trough the PC serial port.

Waterproof casing for industrial applications

Optionally, NeoClock is available with an industrial waterproof casing for outdoor installation or harsh environments.

Available for Windows and Unix

NeoClock is available with a windows client/server software witch enables to synchronize up to 5000 PCs on the network.

Application program are also available for Linux/UNIX.

For specific applications

The NeoClock version for Windows can also be used for specific applications. The receiver transmits the time data on its serial port. The user can choose the data format (ASCII or binary output) as well as the data transmission frequency.
